Development cooperation is an integral part of the foreign policy of any country that wants to improve its international image and strengthen the confidence of its partners. We tried to explain how important it is for Bulgaria in this short video!

Development cooperation is based on common human values such as humanism, solidarity and empathy. Moreover, it also brings many direct and indirect dividends to the country.

In economic terms, it stimulates the establishment of Bulgarian companies on the international scene to expand their export markets.

By participating in multilateral support mechanisms, doors can be opened for the participation of Bulgarian construction, engineering, energy and other companies in infrastructure projects in countries of the developing world.

There is also an immediate opportunity in the upcoming post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. In this way, Bulgaria’s policy on international development cooperation can be coherent and synergistic with the national strategic framework for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN and Bulgaria.
